一、地点状语从句
1. 引导词
引导地点状语从句的连词主要是where（在...地方），有时候也会使用特殊引导词wherever（无论哪里，在任何地方），everywhere（每一...地方，到处），anywhere（任何地方）
The construction project goes faster than planed, where there used to be large area of villages in the city.
Everywhere you go in America, you hear tales of corporate revival.
Where you are, I will be right here waiting for you.
2. where引导的地点状语从句和定语从句
You’d better make a mark where you have any questions.
You’d better make a mark at the place where you have any questions.
3. 特殊句意
Where引导的地点状语从句有时候具有对比、条件或时间的意味，从两句话的语义关系分析，理解为对比或者条件等关系，表达更富有感情。例如：
Where most people saw nothing but a hardened criminal, I saw a lonely and desperate man.(表示对比)
Where there is a will, there is a way.(表条件)
二、定语从句VS地点状语从句
And these “generalists” are particularly needed for position in administration, where it is their job to see that other people do the work, where they have to plan for other people, to organize other people’s work, to begin it and judge it.(1986 text1)
The helicopter has now become an extremely useful machine. It excels in military missions, carrying troops, guns and strategic instruments where other aircraft cannot go.(1987 text 1)
