明代四大声腔明代四大声腔中国明代南曲系统海盐腔、余姚腔、昆山腔、弋阳腔的合称。徐渭在嘉靖三十八年(1559)刊本《南词叙录》对四大声腔的流布地区作了这样的记载：“今唱家称弋阳腔，则出于江西，两京、湖南、闽、广用之；称余姚腔者，出于会稽，常、润、池、太、扬、徐用之；称海盐腔者，嘉、湖、温、台用之；惟昆山腔止行于吴中，流丽悠远，出乎三腔之上，听之最足荡人。”可见，四大声腔在嘉靖之前已经形成，并在江南地区广泛传唱。昆山腔是海盐腔衰微之后而振兴的，故有“旧凡唱南调，皆曰海盐，今海盐不振而曰昆山”之说，昆山腔之振兴，实有赖于水磨调之功，行腔委婉细腻，流丽悠长，至明万历时，已是“四方歌曲，必宗吴门”。弋阳腔在诸腔竞奏的有明一代，一直在民间流布，有着较强的生命力。特别到了明末，更获得观众的喜爱，由依附昆曲剧目“改调歌之”，到独立创作剧目，逐步与昆山腔分庭抗礼。
